My research has primarily focused on various aspects of care and support for older adults and their family and friend caregivers, and my research often focuses on vulnerable populations. I have research experience with adults at the end of life, including several studies focused on palliative care. In addition, several studies have involved adults living in long-term care, including younger adults, many of whom have a cancer diagnosis.

What brought you to your current institution? I was a faculty member at the University of Prince Edward Island from 2001-2014 and I came to Dalhousie in 2015 to have more time to focus on research and supervising graduate students.

Hometown: Fredericton, PEI

Why are you interested in your area of research? My main interest is currently in supporting a PhD student in Health to complete her PhD focused on the delivery of palliative and end of life care to adolescents and young adults living with cancer.
