BHCRI Cancer Research Workshop

The Beatrice Hunter Cancer Research Institute (BHCRI) Cancer Research Workshop was developed to enhance the training of cancer research trainees, though presentations may be of interest to anyone in the field of cancer research. Guest speakers representing various areas of cancer research are chosen for their expertise. This is a joint workshop for the Terry Fox Research Institute Atlantic Node and the Beatrice Hunter Cancer Research Institute.

 

 

 

SAVE THE DATE: The 2023 BHCRI/TFRI Workshop will be held 14-15 September (dates and format subject to change). The workshop is open to all researchers and students throughout Atlantic Canada. Please note that participation is mandatory for CRTP Trainees. Further information will be provided as it becomes available.

The BHCRI/TFRI Workshop was held 26-27 May 2022 from 9:00am-2:00pm ADT via MS Teams. This years’ theme was: Building Bridges Between Interdisciplinary Areas: Fusing Power and People

 

The workshop featured leaders presenting on the current status and ongoing research efforts in the fight against cancer, including Indigenous Medicines in Cancer Research, Exercise and Cancer, Liquid Biopsy and Diet and Lifestyle. Concurrent workshops include Writing Applications, Navigating STEM as a Minority, Careers in Cancer Research, and Transitioning your CV into a Resume.
