Hybrid Seminar: Cell Context, Mutation, Microenvironment and Gynecologic Cancer Control
5850 College Street, Halifax, Nova Scotia 5850 College Street, HalifaxThis hybrid seminar features Dr. David Huntsman, a pathologist and clinical molecular geneticist at the University of British Columbia and the Canada Research Chair in Molecular and Genomic Pathology. Dr. Huntsman directs OVCARE, part of BC’s Gynecologic Cancer Initiative, and conducts his research at Vancouver General Hospital and the BC Cancer Agency.
His internationally recognized work has contributed to the development of diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers for ovarian and other tumor types, and his team has been a leader in applying genomic technologies to improve cancer prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. Dr. Huntsman is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada and the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences.
