Supporting the Next Generation of Atlantic Canadian Cancer Researchers
Currently, the Cancer Research Training Program (CRTP) supports more than 40 Atlantic Canadian trainees, including graduate students, PhD candidates, and postdoctoral fellows, all engaged in innovative cancer research under the guidance of lead investigators.
Trainees benefit from a strong sense of community, regular opportunities to share ideas and receive feedback, and access to a nationally respected peer-review process that promotes research excellence.
CRTP builds core competencies in leadership, communication, professional integrity, and collaborative research through experiential learning and mentorship. Participants gain access to funding, presentation opportunities, and recognition, while connecting with Atlantic Canada’s cancer research community.

All applicants must be engaged in innovative cancer research under the guidance of a lead investigator affiliated with BHCRI or an affiliated institution.
