Precision natural killer cell therapy

Cancer results when mutations in a person’s DNA drive uncontrolled growth of a population of cells. Therefore, even with many common features, cancer is a unique disease in each patient. The Boudreau laboratory is defining the features of tumours that result from genetic mutations that can be targeted by a population of white blood cells called natural killers (NK), aiming to develop NK cells as precise effectors for immunotherapy.
