Affiliations:

Research Interests:
Pediatric brain tumors, quality of life in pediatric cancer
I am an assistant professor and pediatric oncologist at the IWK Health Centre. I have a keen interest in pediatric brain tumor research and clinical trial research. I am the site principal investigator for the Children’s Oncology Group at the IWK.
What brought you to your current institution? After more than a decade abroad, our family was excited to move back to Canada where my spouse and I could begin our careers.
Hometown: Macklin, Saskatchewan
Why are you interested in your area of research? I had a friend who died of relapsed leukemia when I was 15 years old. He played on the same team as me. When he died, it impacted the entire community. Since then, I have always wanted to learn more about pediatric cancer and try to help these children and their families.
