Anticancer properties of new polyphenols, structure-activity relationship

Our research focuses on the design and synthesis of new anticancer compounds based on natural products. In particular, we synthesise new analogues of caffeic acid. Then in collaboration with biochemists and biologists we evaluate the therapeutic value of these compounds as novel treatments for a range of cancer types.
