Studentship Award Announcement
Undergraduate Students, Medical Residents or students registered in a Graduate Program in Atlantic Canada commencing the following September, undertaking cancer research or participating in a clinical training project, will be eligible to apply for studentship awards through the Beatrice Hunter Cancer Research Institute (BHCRI).
A number of awards, each valued at $6500.00, will be awarded for the 2016-2017 year. Only one application form per applicant is permitted; however ticking the applicable boxes on the application will enable qualified applicants to be considered for all awards administered through BHCRI. Supervisors must be Senior Scientist, Associate Members or Honorary Members (qualifying as a Senior Scientist or Associate Member) of the Institute.
BHCRI is now accepting applications for the February 2016 competition. The following awards are available:
Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation – Atlantic Region (CBCF) Studentships
- Two Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation – Atlantic Region (CBCF) studentships, in partnership with BHCRI, are available for those working in the field of breast cancer research at qualifying institutions in Atlantic Canada.
- Ten BHCRI studentships are available for those working in cancer research at qualifying institutions in Atlantic Canada. Specific funds are also available through the Dalhousie Medical Research Foundation (DMRF) Frances Mary Daley Fund for approved projects aimed at advancements in normal and malignant lymphocytes, especially as related to chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
The deadline for submission is 4pm AST on February 4, 2016.
